Joshua Radin: This guy writes the single most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard. His lyrics are phenomenal, and he’s one of the few people nowadays that can truly be called a musician. Plus, one of his best songs, Winter, was featured in Scrubs. That’s about as cool as you can get.
Check out Winter and Star Mile.
Good Old War: Well, you may actually know these guys, but even if you do; check them out again. Good Old War is a fantastic Indie/Folk/Awesome band, and their name comes from the member’s last names. Keith Goodwin, Tim Arnold, and Dan Scwartz. That’s probably the coolest reason for a band’s name that I’ve ever heard.
Check out Coney Island, We’ve Come A Long Way, Maybe Mine, and while you’re at it, every other song they’ve ever released.

Amos Lee: Now, although you don’t know him. I can guarantee that you know one of his songs. Sweet Pea was featured in this AT&T Commercial. Trust me, you’ll probably like him.
Check out Sweet Pea and Arms of a Woman
Capital Lights: For those of you that are getting tired of all this acoustic business, here you go. Unfortunately, these guys went their separate ways last year, but their last record, This Is An Outrage!, has some of the most solid and catchy songs ever.
Check Out: Mile Away, Outrage, and if you want to hear my personal favorite Christmas song, then His Favorite Christmas Story is calling your name.
This should keep you guys busy for a while, and if you’re into it; I might just do another one of these somewhere down the road. (:

Carter Hulsey is, at least in my opinion, one of the most underrated artists out right now. Do yourself a favor and check him out. He’s dropping a new record on June 22nd, A Note in Your Pocket, which is something you should seriously consider pre-ordering. Check Carter out here.
Do the stuff you enjoy, as opposed to the stuff you think you should be doing.
